Der diesjährige CAST-Workshop "SmartCards" betrachtet die Sicherheit und Weiterentwicklung von Chipkarten-Betriebssystemen und den sie umgebenden Komponenten.

Schwerpunktthema sind die entsprechenden Schutzprofile und Zertifizierungen im Kontext der Gesundheitskarte, des neuen Personalausweises und des Sicherheitsmoduls in intelligenten Stromnetzen (Smart Meter). Diskutiert werden auch die Überlegungen zum sicheren Server Signing auf Grundlage einer neuen EU-Regulierung für das entfernte Signieren beispielsweise von Web Mails oder das Anbringen eines elektronischen Siegels auf Dokumenten. Wie wird dabei die Sicherheit einer SmartCard nachweisbar eingesetzt? Sind auf diese Weise auch qualifizierte elektronische Signaturen realisierbar?

Der Workshop präsentiert den aktuellen Stand dieser und weiterer SmartCard-relevanter Entwicklungen.
