Der Datenrettungsspezialist CBL Data Recovery Technologies hat ein Labor in Tokyo eröffnet - das dritte in Asien. Das 1993 in Kanada gegründete Unternehmen verfügt jetzt über elf Datenrettungslabors in zehn Ländern. Durch die enge Zusammenarbeit der CBL-Labors untereinander werden auch alle anderen Standorte von dieser weiteren Expansion profitieren. Alle Labors von CBL sind ständig online miteinander verbunden und die Datenretter in Kanada, den USA, Brasilien, Barbados, England, Deutschland, China, Singapur, Australien und Japan arbeiten teilweise interkontinental gemeinsam an Projekten. "So wie wir ständig Erfahrungen und Know-how austauschen und online gemeinsam an schwierigen Fällen arbeiten, haben wir eigentlich nur ein Labor, allerdings verteilt über fünf Kontinente", erklärt Steven Trace, Geschäftsführer und technischer Direktor von CBL Data Recovery Technologies GmbH. "Das Labor im Herzen Tokyos bereichert unseren Erfahrungsschatz, da die Kunden auch hier wieder mit ganz eigenen typischen Hardware- und Software-Problemen zu uns kommen werden. Allein schon die Sprache bedingt, dass sich die Datenträger von denen unterscheiden, mit denen wir es gewöhnlich zu tun haben." Nach Einschätzung von CBL war der japanische Markt bisher unterversorgt mit Datenrettungsangeboten für schwere, hardwarebedingte Fälle von Datenverlust: "Wenn beschädigte Datenträger erst außer Landes geschickt werden müssen, ist die Gefahr groß, dass der Datenverlust bereits schwere wirtschaftliche Schäden angerichtet hat, bevor die Daten gerettet werden können", erläutert Steven Trace. "Unsere Erfolgsquote liegt bei 85%, aber wenn es durch logistische Probleme zu Verzögerung kommt, kann auch eine erfolgreiche Datenrettung zu spät kommen. Mit Japan ist nun ein weiterer bedeutender Markt erschlossen worden, den wir direkt und nicht nur über Partner bedienen können."
