CETA Testsysteme GmbH is a manufacturer of test devices and solution partner in industrial leak and flow testing for more than 35 years. Several thousands of CETA test devices are used worldwide in production lines for quality control.
In order to provide comprehensive support for users, CETA has been offering practical online seminars since 2021, which are held in both German and English as part of the ‘CETA Digital - From practice to practice’ program. The current seminar program for the second half of 2024 contains a variety of seminars focusing on different topics and addressing different target groups.
One of the seminars, ‘The most important ASAPs for leak testing with compressed air’, provides memorable rules of thumb based on the abbreviation ASAP. These rules contain important aspects that must be considered when integrating leak testing into the production process and are explained using practical examples.
A 3-part seminar series is aimed in particular at machine builders and internal production equipment manufacturers. It deals in depth with topics relevant to the design, realisation and commissioning of leak and flow test stations. Participants will receive valuable tips and an overview of the selection criteria for leak testing technology, taking project planning data into account. In addition, frequently occurring test situations are dealt with, taking into account special product characteristics, and the systematic procedure for commissioning and testing the device is explained.
Another seminar focuses on the leak testing of products with pressure compensation elements. Temperature-related pressure fluctuations can cause a vacuum to build up inside encapsulated products. Cyclical heating and cooling stresses the seals and can lead to leaks. To reduce this risk, pressure compensation elements are used for ventilation. These enable pressure equalisation while at the same time protecting against oil, water and particles. This seminar deals with special features and practical approaches to testing products with pressure compensation elements.
An additional focus is on analysing the measuring systems capability based on the capability index Cg. This method is widely used in dimensional metrology, but cannot be easily transferred to industrial leak testing. A guideline for carrying out the measuring system capability analysis will be presented in a specially focussed seminar. Practical approaches for optimisation measures are also presented if the required Cg value is not achieved.
