Due to constantly increasing demand for experienced software developers on mobile platforms in Ukraine, Ciklum has launched Mobile Development Educational Internship Program. The program’s aim is to provide opportunities for talented junior mobile IT specialists to significantly improve their knowledge and get a thorough intense practical experience simultaneously. Following the previous successful pilot experience that took place in the past couple of months, the educational program was launched in full scope on the 13th of December 2010 and will include a three-month intense combination of lectures, expert workshops and hands on practical experience.
The program consists of three parts:
• Three weeks of theoretical lectures and workshops from Project Managers and Team Leaders from Ciklum Project Office’s specialists as well as external brought in experts within the field and combined with practical cases.
• Creating individual Practice Application projects (real projects for internal Clients, mostly Ciklum’s departments).
• Upon successful completion of Practice Applications, placement to actual, real-world projects within Ciklum’s Project Office until projects’ completion, where the interns get a real experience while working on non-critical tasks.
During Ciklum Mobile Development Educational Internship Program developers will also gain valuable experience in team collaboration with each other, PMs and QAs; will use best of breed industry tools and will abide to industrial-standard processes. Thus, graduates of the program will be well prepared for commercial projects and can be of interest for companies looking for mobile development resources in Ukraine.
“We have high expectations for these guys as we are giving them a chance to upgrade their skill set, get hands on experience and recommendations, and be able within a few month time apply for open vacancies within Ciklum. Further, we hope that this initiative will get a strong support within Ciklum’s Clients Community, where our clients will be willing to be those that teach and/or provide platform for practical placements within their development teams,” says Yuriy Roshchenko, Head of Ciklum Project Office and the driver of the Ciklum Mobile Development Educational Internship Program.
