Für rund 800 Millionen US-Dollar und zu 90% sicherte sich der Staatsfonds Abu Dhabi Investment Council das Chrysler Building in New York. Die übrigen 10% werden von der Immobiliengesellschaft Tishman Speyer Properties gehalten, die Gesellschaft übernimmt zudem auch die Verwaltung des Gebäudes.
Das New Yorker Wahrzeichen wurde 1930 errichtet und galt für wenige Monate als höchste Gebäude der Welt. Vor rund 10 Jahren wurde das 77 Stockwerke hohe Gebäude renoviert und modernisiert.
