Da die Verdi G-Serie auf Basis der OPSL-Technologie gebaut wird, leiden sie weder am so genannten "grünen Rauschen", noch an Effekten der thermischen Linse, welche die Leistungsfähigkeit konkurrierender Multimoden-Laser, die auf der DPSS (diode-pumped solid-state)-Technologie basieren, stark beeinträchtigen. Daher zeigen sie in einem sehr großen Frequenzspektrum (10 Hz bis 100 MHz) ein extrem geringes Rauschen (<0,02% rms). Aufgrund der fehlenden Störeinflüsse durch Effekte der thermischen Linse kann die Leistung des Verdi G10 nahtlos von 10% auf 100% angepasst werden, ohne dass sich die Strahlqualität oder die Strahllagestabilität, welche bei < 2 ?rad/°C liegt, verändert.
Der Verdi G10 ist der ideale Pumplaser für Ultrafast- und Titan-Saphir-Lasersysteme in allen Applikationen der Spektroskopie, der Pump-Probe-Experimente und der Materialforschung. Das umfasst auch CEP-stabilisierte Systeme, wo ein geringes Phasenrauschen nur durch den Einsatz eines rauscharmen Pumplasers erreicht wird. Zudem ist der Verdi G10 der erste Nicht-DPSS- Laser, der genügend Leistung aufbringt, um Ultrafast-Verstärker mit hoher Repetitionsrate, wie die RegA-Serie von Coherent, zu pumpen.
