Jedes Jahr trifft sich die Tuningbranche auf der weltgrößten Tuningmesse in Essen. Auch Europas größter Reifenhersteller, Continental, ist auf der "Show for Drivers and Dreams" vom 1. bis 9. Dezember wieder mit dabei. In Halle 3, Stand 230, stellt der Konzern die aktuellen Sportreifen-Entwicklungen vor.
Nach den positiven Erfahrungen aus vergangenen Veranstaltungen präsentiert sich Continental erneut an einem gemeinsamen Stand mit den Edeltunern und Entwicklungspartnern Abt Sportsline, AC Schnitzer, Heico Sportiv, Sportservice Lorinser und Techart Automobildesign. Im Fokus der Ausstellung stehen die Hochleistungs-Produkte ContiSportContact 5, ContiSportContact 5 P sowie der Sport-Reifen ContiForceContact, dessen Umbereifungsgrößen für den neuen Porsche 911 Carrera der Baureihe 991 erstmals der breiten Öffentlichkeit gezeigt werden.
Mit dem ContiSportContact 5 wendet sich Continental speziell an die Fahrer leistungsstarker Pkw sowie SUV mit sportlichen Fahreigenschaften. Der Sportreifen mit innovativer Black-Chilli-Technologie ist freigegeben bis 300 km/h.
Noch einen Schritt weiter geht der große Bruder ContiSportContact 5 P, der in der Erstausrüstung unter anderem am bis zu 560 PS starken und bis zu 320 km/h schnellen Supersportler R8 von Audi verbaut wird. Der Namenszusatz "P" steht für "Performance" und ist Ausdruck einer kompromisslos sportlichen Auslegung.
Der ContiForceContact richtet sich ausschließlich an aktive Sportfahrer mit Motorsport-Ambitionen. Der reinrassige Sport -Reifen mit Straßenzulassung wurde gemeinsam mit führenden Fahrzeugtunern sowie den Fahrexperten der Fachzeitschrift sportauto entwickelt und vereint ultimativen Grip und optimale Lenkpräzision für die Rennstrecke.
Auf der Messe vertreten ist auch die Konzernmarke Uniroyal. Die sportiven Regenreifen präsentieren sich auf Stand 230 in Halle 2. Besonderer Gast ist Drift Champion Patrick Ritzmann.
Zur Essen Motor Show 2012 haben sich wie im vergangenen Jahr über 500 Aussteller angemeldet. Die Ausstellungsfläche wurde noch einmal vergrößert und erreicht damit neue Rekordwerte. Zu Deutschlands besucherstärksten Automobilmesse des Jahres erwarten die Veranstalter mehr als 340.000 Besucher. Ausgestellt werden in Essen aber nicht nur sportliche Autos. Zu sehen ist das gesamte für die Tuningbranche bedeutsame Produktspektrum.
