Acella® from Benecke-Kaliko Protects People and the Environment

International Suppliers Fair (IZB): Soft trim conserves resources and is climate-neutral

(PresseBox) (Hanover/Wolfsburg, )
The high demand for economical, eco-friendly and climate-neutral cars confronts manufacturers with a special challenge. This is because eco-friendly vehicles also place high demands on materials and technology. Benecke-Kaliko's resource-thrifty soft trim materials for automotive interiors (on view at booth 302 in hall 6) reconcile quality, comfort and sustainability in interior design.

One example is the new, extremely low-emission Acella® Eco Green soft trim material. "This material is exceptionally kind to your skin, contact-allergen-free and eco-friendly," underscores Volker Philipp, who oversees Benecke-Kaliko's business with Volkswagen.

With the variant Acella® Eco Natural, Benecke-Kaliko also carries a textile laminate that is composed to more than 50 percent of renewable raw materials. Both products comply with Class 1 of the Oeko-Tex Standard 100, which attests that the material is safe for babies and small children.

At Benecke-Kaliko, quality and environmental protection are not confined to specific locations. "From the very beginning we have applied the same high standards throughout the world," declares Dr. Dirk Leiß, Executive Board chairman. "Our production standards are identical in all of our plants, whether in Europe, Asia or NAFTA. This facilitates worldwide production for our customers."
