Website gets a makeover
ContiTech has completely redesigned its website for automotive aftermarket belt drive components. "We've reduced the content to only what's essential and structured the site more clearly," says Markus Pirsch, head of Marketing Service. A navigation bar provides an overview of the product groups and services. The Product Information Center (PIC) and the online catalog are also integrated into the navigation bar. The result: the platform is clearer, easier to navigate, and visually more appealing.
The website can also be reached via the ContiTech and Continental websites - but it's easiest to access it directly at www.contitech.de/aam. Moreover, the page is available in 16 languages. Newly added are: Romanian, Dutch, Croatian, Finnish, Greek, and Czech.
In 16 languages: new PIC kicks off
In addition to the newly designed website, the online cross-reference catalog and the Product Information Center (PIC) have been fully redesigned to make them extremely user-friendly. The new online catalog will be published soon, and the new PIC kicks off in just a few weeks. "Like the website, the new PIC will also be available in 16 different languages," says Jens Heitkemper of the Marketing Service. "Close to 2.5 million site visits in 2013 showed us how popular the PIC is - with the new languages, we're hoping to benefit even more markets." Naturally, access is easy: At www.contitech.de/pic, just enter the item number to get all relevant, constantly updated information - without having to log in beforehand. To download the detailed Technical Instructions for installation, a code from the product package is required. Mobile devices can use the QR code on the product package to access the PIC directly on a mobile version.
Augmented reality for the smartphone
A new app completes the drive specialist's multimedia offerings for the automotive aftermarket. Its smartphone software provides access to exploded drawings and three-dimensional graphics that can be moved and rotated. In addition to this augmented reality content, users can also call up animated films. With its digital options, the app supplements the new brochure "Belts and Components. Technology - Know how - Tips." "In combination, our two new information channels provide a comprehensive overview of the structure, operation, and technical characteristics of belts and belt drive components, along with their optimal use," says Heitkemper.
