Kit solutions for pros
With ContiTech, customers in the free market for replacement parts have one central contact. "We don't only want to deliver first-class products, but put together a comprehensive package that helps our partners in sales and service to work more efficiently," says Markus Pirsch, head of Marketing Service in the Automotive Aftermarket unit of the ContiTech Power Transmission Group. An ever more expansive kit range is an important step in this direction. The focus is on timing belt kits with water pumps. Because: Only when both components are of high quality and completely intact, can perfect engine operation be ensured. ContiTech's complete package with a timing belt, tensioner and deflection roller, accessory parts and water pump make it easier for vehicle professionals to replace all belt drive components at the same time. The parts are perfectly matched and do not need to be ordered individually. ContiTech now also provides support for the auxiliary drive - through a new range of kits with V-ribbed belt and tensioner to be presented for the first time at Automechanika. With about 100 complete packages, the drive component specialist covers a major portion of the most common applications.
Assembly kits offer garages a service advantage
In the past, changing torsional vibration dampers often led to the question: Which mounting material fits which belt pulley? The new assembly kits from ContiTech provide the answer. For most ContiTech torsional vibration dampers that require new screws, garages in Europe can now order one of the 36 matching sets easily and quickly. "This service saves our customers a lot of searching. And that is exactly our goal: we want to implement ContiTech's quality mentality down to the very smallest detail - with products and services," Pirsch explains.
Total belt drive expertise
ContiTech also provides bundled drive expertise to dealers and garages with a versatile action package. The Product Information Center (PIC) concentrates on product information and installation assistance and is now available in 16 languages. The new brochure "Belts and Components. Technology - Know how - Tips" offers vehicle professionals a reference work for belt drive components. It explains the construction of toothed belts, V-ribbed belts and components such as rollers and water pumps, as well as proper handling of products associated with the belt drive. The drive specialist's training program provides more in-depth information. Those interested can get a general introduction to drives in the technical training, while the technical practice training for belt service and replacement provides detailed explanations with practice on a real engine.
