Critical Manufacturing’s Complete MES Moves to a HTML5 GUI for Increased Performance

Critical Manufacturing is pleased to announce the release of version 7.1 (V7.1) of its innovative Manufacturing Execution System (MES). As an MES designed from conception to provide a pathway to smart manufacturing and embrace Industry 4.0 technologies, V7.1 now boosts how users experience and interface with the system with a complete migration to HTML5 across the entire system.

João Cortez, Head of Product Management at Critical Manufacturing, commented: “The migration to HTML5 ensures that users can benefit from an important advantage that cannot be understated; the ability for the system to run anywhere, such as the shop floor, office or remote locations, at any time and in any device, ranging from smart phones, tablets, smart glasses, laptop computers and more. Customers can take full advantage of increased speed, responsiveness, flexibility and a visually rich graphical user interface (GUI), consisting of a completely integrated, modern progressive Web Application that runs 24/7 on any browser, on any device, anywhere in the world.”

Already widely recognized as a highly configurable, user-friendly, Industry 4.0-ready solution; V7.1 of the CM MES takes yet another step towards reaping the huge benefits of smart manufacturing. Its easy-to-use HTML5 GUI provides a single, consistent, end-to-end user-experience that is applicable to every MES stakeholder across functional areas including production, quality, planning & logistics, maintenance and engineering. It further includes a visual ‘drag and drop’ GUI design interface, enabling customers to easily create customized, responsive GUIs, optimized for their own specific production scenarios.

João concluded: “As with every stage of the development of our modern MES, we are working to deliver Industry 4.0 to all manufacturers with the most advanced technology and capabilities. The world of manufacturing is changing rapidly, and our MES has been designed from the ground up to embrace this new era and the enormous benefits it offers in speed, productivity, quality, efficiency and agility. As new technologies emerge, we will continue to develop the CM MES to ensure it delivers the most modern, future-ready solution that helps manufacturers gain competitive edge and foster innovation within their businesses.”
