Auto MDI/MDI-X: MDI steht für Medium Dependent Interface und bezieht sich auf einen Ethernet Netzwerkanschluß. Auto-MDI/MDI-X ermöglicht die automatische Erkennung und Anpassung eines Ports. D.h. das angeschlossene Ethernet Kabel sowie die Konfiguration der Gegenstelle (MDI/MDI-X) werden automatisch erkannt und der eigene Port entsprechend konfiguriert. Alle Auto MDI/MDI-X Ports können so als Uplink-Port genützt werden.
