For many radio and television experts worldwide, the NAB Show - hosted by the US National Association of Broadcasters - is the annual meeting to attend. This year, DAVID Systems will present to an international audience of professionals its range of innovative digital audio and video products, which can be successfully combined into workflow-oriented overall solutions in a multimedia environment.
Product combinations under the DAVID Systems Moves Media name are capable of providing previously unheard of flexibility of data exchange, among different networks and structures, between your central office, correspondents, regional studios, and external service providers.
Innovative Features for Networked Production
With its long and proven expertise, DAVID Systems is well positioned as the ideal partner for the development of new intermedia solutions.
This year s exhibition will focus on newsroom integration in the radio field, forming a bridge between the previously separate production workflows for audio and news elements. DigaToolbar, a quickstart toolbar with a powerful messaging system, and the newly developed Story Editor, for creating and editing text with embedded media elements, allowing direct import into DigaSystem editors or scheduling modules are two examples of improved integration. The new Collection Element helps maintain an overview of numerous database entries by referencing thematically related entries between tables, making them quick and easy to find.
In addition to the production of pure radio content, combined production for radio, TV, and Internet has seen particularly high demand over the past few years. Through the content management system and its fully integrated DigaSystem video editors, DigaCut ST and DigaCut MT, DAVID Systems offers innovative possibilities for multimedia content processing. The DigaSystem® CMS includes interfaces to third-party systems, such as Apple s Final Cut Pro, to form the foundation for file-based and platform-independent video file exchange over MXF.
The DigaClipPlayer, a tool for playing, viewing, and basic editing of media files, is new to the portfolio. It provides extended functionality over its predecessor, allowing markers to be set or sub-clip generation, for example.
"Our growing success in many countries worldwide shows that we can offer great utility to the broadcast market through our software and professional services," says Ingo Hahn, Product Management Director at DAVID Systems. "That s why we see the international environment at the NAB Show in Las Vegas as an ideal stage to effectively present our innovative digital broadcast solutions."
