Planer und Errichter von Blitzschutzanlagen stehen immer wieder vor dem Problem, auch unter erschwerten Bedingungen Trennungsabstände einhalten zu müssen, um eine Verschleppung von Blitzströmen in die bauliche Anlage zu verhindern. Nicht nur metallene und elektrische Dachaufbauten sind exponierte Punkte für Blitzeinschläge, auch beispielsweise nachträglich errichtete Mobilfunkanlagen auf "Gastgebäuden" müssen vor Blitzeinschlägen unter Einhaltung des Trennungsabstands geschützt werden. Die vom Blitzschutz-Spezialisten DEHN + SÖHNE neu entwickelte HVI-Leitung (High Voltage Insulating-Line) aus der Produktfamilie DEHNconductor bietet hier vereinfachte Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten. Die koaxial aufgebaute HVI-Leitung besteht aus einem 19 mm²-Kupferdraht mit einer dickwandigen hochspannungsfesten Isolierung und einem witterungsbeständigen, mit Zuschlagstoffen dotierten äußeren Spezialmantel. Das besondere Neue der HVI-Leitung ist die Dotierung des äußeren Mantels, der dadurch so ausgebildet ist, dass eine gezielte Absteuerung der blitzbedingten hohen "Impulsspannung" erfolgt. Die vorkonfektionierte und sowohl an der Einspeisestelle als auch erdseitig mit Anschlusselementen versehene HVI-Leitung kann vom Monteur vor Ort auf die gewünschte Länge gekürzt werden.
