Von der virtuellen zu realen Welt - der Entwicklungsprozess
Die elektrische/elektronische (E/E) Architektur liefert die Energie und das Netzwerk für Signalübertragungen für die heute ständig komplexer werdenden modernen Fahrzeuge. Die Delphi Ingenieure nutzen selbst entwickelte Konstruktionswerkzeuge und Software, um zunächst ein virtuelles Modell der E/E-Architektur bis hin zu Anschlüssen, elektronischen Modulen und dem gesamten Kabelbaum zu schaffen. Die E/E-Architektur für den Fiat 500 wurde von einem funktionsübergreifenden Team im Turiner Kundenzentrum von Delphi entwickelt. Das Wuppertaler Kunden-Technologie-Zentrum lieferte die notwendige Expertise unterstützt vom einem weiteren Entwicklungsstandort in Krakow.
EEA mit einem dritten E für Europa
Die Kabelbäume werden im polnischen Delphi Werk Jelesina gefertigt, während der Rechner im ungarischen Werk Szombathely produziert wird. Insgesamt ist die Entwicklung und die Fertigung eine europäische Gemeinschaftsarbeit. Die elektrische Servolenkung (EPS) ist bei Kunden eines der beliebtesten Ausstattungsmerkmale. Beim Fiat 500 setzen Fiat und Delphi eine langjährige Tradition der Zusammenarbeit in diesem Bereich fort. Das EPS im Fiat 500 überzeugt durch ein nochmals verbessertes Fahrgefühl in der Mittellage, eine aktivere Rückstellung des eingeschlagenen Lenkrads in die Mittellage und ein nochmals präziseres, berechenbareres Lenkgefühl. Produziert wird es im polnischen Delphi Werk Tychy gemeinsam mit anderen EPS-Systemen für weitere Fiat-Modelle wie den Panda, den Grande Punto und den Lancia Ypsilon.
