„Der Wahlausgang in den USA zeigt, dass die Politik Donald Trumps auch im eigenen Land nicht unumstritten ist. Gerade in der Handelspolitik sind die Herausforderungen aktuell besonders groß - Handelskonflikt mit China, Strafzölle, WTO. Auch die deutsche Wirtschaft ist hiervon direkt betroffen. Nach dem Ausgang der Wahl ist immerhin zu erwarten, dass die innenpolitische Auseinandersetzung zu diesen gerade für die deutsche Wirtschaft so wichtigen Themen wieder kontroverser wird. Das ist ein kleines Zeichen von Hoffnung. Insgesamt stehen die Zeichen für das Thema Handelspolitik und die Sanktionen der Vereinigten Staaten von Amerika nicht auf Abkehr vom bisherigen Kurs.“
