„Es ist allerhöchste Zeit, sich jetzt mit der Reform der Grundsteuer zu beschäftigen. Die Unternehmen müssen sich rechtzeitig auf neue Regelungen einstellen können. Aus Sicht der Betriebe sind zwei Ziele vordringlich zu beachten: Erstens sollten die Einnahmen für die Gemeinden stabilisiert werden, ohne dass die Gesamtbelastung für die Steuerpflichtigen und damit auch für die Gruppe der Unternehmen steigt. Zweitens sollten Gesetz und Erhebung mit möglichst wenig Bürokratielasten für die Wirtschaft ausgestaltet sein. Denn das aktuelle Verfahren ist sehr komplex und nicht einmal in Ansätzen digital. Die bisherigen Informationen zum Reformentwurf lassen jedoch befürchten, dass dieses Ziel bislang nicht genügend im Fokus steht. So sollen z. B. die Immobilien anhand ihrer Mieteinnahmen bewertet werden, was bei vielen unternehmerisch genutzten Spezial-Immobilien, z. B. Produktionshallen, mangels Vergleichsmieten kaum möglich ist. Die Unternehmen brauchen auch bei der Grundsteuer eine praxisnahe und bürokratieschonende Ermittlungsmethode.“
