Die Themen Wasser und Wasserwirtschaft werden am 21. und 22. April 2006 im Rahmen der Deutsch-Arabischen Wasserkonferenz von führenden Vertretern aus der Region sowie Vertretern der Wasserwirtschaft diskutiert. Aus Kuwait wird der stellvertretende Energieminister Scheich Abdulaziz al Said erwartet, aus Saudi-Arabien kommt der Stellvertreter des Ministers für Planung, Entwicklung, Wasser und Elektrizität, Loay Bin Ahmed Al-Mussallam.
Der Direktor des UN-Umweltprogramms und ehemalige Bundesumweltminister, Prof. Dr. Klaus Töpfer, wird die Deutsch-Arabische Wasserkonferenz eröffnen.
