Der neue Termin macht es möglich, dass die O&S erneut zusammen mit der LASYS, die internationale Fachmesse für Laser-Materialbearbeitung, ihre Tore öffnet. "Schon 2010 hat sich gezeigt, dass O&S und LASYS zusammen sehr erfolgreich sind. Beide Messen sprechen mit ihren Angeboten ähnliche Besuchergruppen an", sagt Oliver Freese, Geschäftsbereichsleiter bei der Deutschen Messe AG in Hannover.
Insbesondere für Besucher aus der Automobilbranche lohnt sich im Juni 2012 der Besuch in Stuttgart. Denn zeitgleich werden zur O&S und LASYS auf dem Messegelände Stuttgart die Messen "European Automotive Components Expo", "Automotive testing expo", "Engine expo", "Automotive interior expo" und "Vehicle Dynamics Expo" veranstaltet. Sie werden vom britischen Unternehmen UKIP Media & Events, einem führenden internationalen Messeveranstalter für den Sektor Transporttechnologie, organisiert.
Zur O&S 2010 zeigten 326 Aussteller aus 14 Ländern auf 15 000 Quadratmetern Brutto-Ausstellungsfläche energie- und ressourceneffiziente Produkte sowie Anwendungsmöglichkeiten in der Oberflächenbehandlung. Die Fachmesse zog 4 571 Besucher aus mehr als 50 Ländern an. Mit ihrem umfassenden Angebot wendet sich die O&S insbesondere an Fachbesucher und Anwender aus dem Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, der Automobilindustrie und deren Zulieferer sowie der Elektro- und Kommunikationstechnik. Darüber hinaus spricht sie das Baugewerbe, die Kunststoff- und Möbelindustrie sowie die Medizintechnik an. Die O&S wird von der Deutschen Messe AG Hannover alle zwei Jahre in Zusammenarbeit mit der Landesmesse Stuttgart GmbH ausgerichtet.
