Bereits zum dritten Mal wird unmittelbar vor der Eröffnung des weltweit bedeutendsten Technologieereignisses das Wirtschaftsforum HANNOVER MESSE durchgeführt. Das Thema der hochkarätig besetzten Veranstaltung am 3. April 2011 lautet "In Deutschland investieren!". Im Fokus steht die Stärkung der internationalen Wettbewerbsfähigkeit. Gerade unter dem Aspekt der aktuellen Ereignisse in Japan bieten deutsche Energieunternehmen Schlüsseltechnologien für den internationalen Markt. Veranstalter des Wirtschaftsforums HANNOVER MESSE 2011 sind der Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie (BDI) und die Deutsche Messe AG.
Keynote Speaker ist BDI-Präsident Dr.-Ing. Hans-Peter Keitel, zur Begrüßung spricht Niedersachsens Ministerpräsident David McAllister. Weitere Teilnehmer der Podiumsdiskussion sind die Ministerpräsidentin von Nordrhein-Westfalen Hannelore Kraft, VDMA-Präsident Dr. Thomas Lindner, der Vorstandsvorsitzende von E.ON, Dr. Johannes Teyssen sowie Prof. Norbert Winkeljohann, CEO von PricewaterhouseCoopers.
"Die Deutsche Wirtschaft und in besonderer Weise die Industrie haben die Krise nicht nur bewältigt, sondern für sich genutzt und sich auf die Zukunft vorbereitet", sagte BDI-Präsident Keitel. "Jetzt dürfen wir uns nicht gemütlich zurücklehnen. Wir müssen über Maßnahmen sprechen, die die internationale Wettbewerbsfähigkeit Deutschlands sichern."
Für Dr. Wolfram von Fritsch, Vorstandsvorsitzender der Deutschen Messe AG, ist die HANNOVER MESSE 2011 der ideale Ort, um die Themen des Wirtschaftsforums zu diskutieren: "Die HANNOVER MESSE 2011 ist das Schaufenster des internationalen Technologie-Wettbewerbs. Anbieter aus 65 Ländern nutzen diese einzigartige Plattform, um ihre Stärken zu zeigen und neue Kunden aus aller Welt zu gewinnen. Das Wirtschaftsforum findet von 15 bis 17 Uhr im Hannover Congress Centrum statt. Der Einlass ist nur auf Einladung. Die Eröffnungsfeier der HANNOVER MESSE 2011 startet gleich im Anschluss um 18 Uhr.
