DJV-Bundesvorsitzender Michael Konken kritisierte die Entscheidung als "einen fragwürdigen Einschnitt in die Pressefreiheit. Damit ist keine klare Transparenz mehr gegeben." Dass das Bundesministerium nun selbst über die Arbeit in den Workshops informieren wolle, sei keine akzeptable Begründung. "Es darf bezweifelt werden, ob so alle kritischen Anmerkungen und Fragen an die Öffentlichkeit gelangen."
