Den Beleg dafür aus der Praxis erbringt Carmen Harlacher, die als Controllerin beim Diamant-Kunden Flexicon AG tätig ist. Sie zeigt, wie der Druckvorlagenhersteller aus Halle/Westfalen mit Software von Diamant eine kundenbezogene Deckungsbeitragsrechnung einführen konnte. Dabei werden Arbeitszeiten, der größte Kostenverursacher bei Flexicon, minutengenau auf die einzelnen Kunden verrechnet. Die Controllerin stellt außerdem das Liquiditätsmanagement vor, das sie mithilfe des Diamant-Finanzcontrollings umgesetzt hat. Dank einer engen Verbindung mit der Finanzbuchhaltung generiert das System dabei realistische Prognosen über die verfügbaren Zahlungsmittel.
Der Deutsche Controlling Congress ist eine von Prof. Dr. Thomas Reichmann institutionalisierte Informationsbörse, die es sich zum Ziel gemacht hat, den Gedanken- und Informationsaustausch mit namhaften Wissenschaftlern, Politikern und Praktikern zu fördern. Es werden moderne Controlling-Konzepte, deren praktische Relevanz, sowie DV-technische Lösungsmöglichkeiten präsentiert.
Diamant beteiligt sich im Mai außerdem als Aussteller an der "ReWeCo", Fachmesse für Rechnungswesen und Controlling (17. bis 19. Mai 2006 in Suhl). Veranstaltet wird die ReWeCo vom Bundesverband der Bilanzbuchhalter und Controller (BVBC) im Rahmen ihres diesjährigen BVBC-Kongresses.
