Display Solution AG, a distribution partner of Samsung Semiconductor Europe, proudly announces the new stretched professional information display (PID) panels in 29-inch (1920x540) and 37-inch (1920x540) with 49-inch (1920x540) coming in the near future. Samsung’s stretched PID panels are manufactured using a native glass sizes and are NOT machine cut and reassembled.
The main benefits of these stretched PID panels are high product reliability for 24/7 operation, innovative design by using native mask LCD glass sizes as well as ultra-wide viewing angle and 110°C Tni.
The 29-inch 1920x540 is available in 500 cd/m² brightness (LTI290LN01) with a 1000 cd/m² brightness version coming within 2016. Both brightness versions have comparable outline dimensions and an aspect ratio of 32:9. The 37-inch 1920x540 is available in 700 cd/m² (LTI370LN01) and a 1500 cd/m² high brightness version will be launched b/Q4 2016. While conventional bar displays are made using machine cut LCD cells, Samsung’s stretched PID panels are made using a native cut cell. This gives the Samsung panels a significant improvement in quality for issues like broken glass or sealing, micro cracks, light leakage or failures due to transport and/or unsuitable packing.
Due to the unique design Samsung’s stretched PID panels are suitable for a range of different applications such as transportation (train or bus), digital signage, retail, kiosks and vending machines. Additional display kits can be provided by Display Solution.
