Die CeBIT 2006 war für die DocuWare AG ein großer Erfolg, das Interesse an Dokumentenmanagement-Lösungen des deutschen Softwarehauses hoch. DocuWare-Mitarbeiter und -Partner bewerteten die auf dem CeBIT-Stand geführten Gespräche als überwiegend sehr positiv. Jeder neunte Standbesucher gab an, ein konkretes Projekt für das laufende Jahr zu planen. Im Vordergrund des Interesses standen Themen wie die Elektronische Signatur, Workflow, Synchronisation und Mobilität. Die neue Version DocuWare 5 bietet diese Funktionalitäten schon im Standard.
Mit 716 Gesprächen (Vorjahr: 405) hatte der DMS-Pionier 77 Prozent mehr CeBIT-Kontakte als 2005. Unternehmen erkennen mehr und mehr, dass sich mit Dokumenten-Management Prozesse im Unternehmen automatisieren und nachhaltig verbessern lassen. Gerade im globalen Wettbewerb kommt es darauf an, Zeit und Kosten bei steigender Produktivität zu sparen.
Informationsbedarf ist groß
Noch immer verunsichert die Vielfalt der Begriffe rund um das Dokumenten-Management die Interessenten. Das belegen zum Beispiel die zahlreichen Zuhörer der Fachvorträge „Dokumenten-Management, Begriffsdefinition – Von der elektronischen Archivierung zum Enterprise Content Management“ und „Elektronische Signatur“, die DocuWare-Vorstand Jürgen Biffar auf dem DMS-Forum der CeBIT hielt. Die Podiumsdiskussion „Wege aus der E-Mail-Falle“ war ebenfalls ein Publikumsmagnet. Jürgen Biffar dazu: „Die Befriedigung des allgemeinen Informationsbedarfs rund um das Dokumenten-Management in sachlicher Form gehört mit zu unseren Aufgaben. Derartige objektive Veranstaltungen festigen unser Image als kompetenter Lösungsanbieter.“ Der DocuWare-Vorstand gehört mit zu den Autoren des vom VOI herausgegebenen Code of Practice zum Themenkomplex DMS/ECM.
