Das 4-semestrige Master-Programm "PR und Integrierte Kommunikation" fokussiert sein Angebot auf aktuelle Anforderungen der Kommunikationsbranche, darunter strategische Kommunikationsberatung, Integrierte Unternehmenskommunikation, Kommunikation in Change-Prozessen, Public Affairs und Lobbying, Krisenkommunikation und Interkulturelle Kommunikation. Es richtet sich an Weiterbildungsinteressierte aus Public Relations, Werbung, Marketing, Unternehmenskommunikation und Pressestellen.
Voraussetzung für die Bewerbung um ein Stipendium ist ein akademischer Abschluss oder mindestens vierjährige Berufserfahrung in Kommunikation oder angrenzenden Bereichen. Die maximale Höhe des Stipendiums beträgt 13.900 Euro, was dem Gesamtwert eines Studienplatzes entspricht. Der/die StipendiatIn wird im Rahmen einer Jurysitzung ermittelt, in der neben der Leiterin des Internationalen Journalismus Zentrums (IJZ), Dr.in Silvia Ettl-Huber, auch RepräsentantInnen des Public Relations Verbandes Austria (PRVA) sowie des Verbandes für Integrierte Kommunikation (VIKOM) vertreten sind.
Die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer am Universitätslehrgang erwartet eine theoretisch fundierte und fachspezifische Weiterbildung in Integrierter Kommunikation, modernen Management-Skills und Recht, ergänzt durch Wissen aus Politik, Markt- und Trendforschung sowie angewandter Public Relations.
Die Lehrenden am IJZ stammen aus der Unternehmenspraxis und aus Kommunikationsagenturen ebenso wie aus dem universitären und Fachhochschul-Bereich. Durch Kleingruppen von höchstens 20 Personen aus verschiedensten Fachdisziplinen und Unternehmen sind im Lehrgang ein intensiver Erfahrungsaustausch, effizientes Gruppen-Learning und persönliche Betreuung garantiert. Die Methode der Wissensvermittlung wechselt zwischen Fachvorträgen, Workshopeinheiten und Case-Studies.
Das Master-Programm wird laufend evaluiert und den aktuellen Entwicklungen der Branche angepasst. Die universitäre Weiterbildung schließt mit dem international vergleichbaren akademischen Grad "Communications Master of Science" (MSc) ab. Dieser Titel umfasst nach der europäischen "Bildungswährung" 120 ECTS-Punkte. Der Universitätslehrgang "PR und Integrierter Kommunikation" wird in dreitägigen (DO-SA) und sechstägigen (MO-SA) Modulen berufsbegleitend durchgeführt.
Darüber hinaus bietet das Internationale Journalismus Zentrum der Donau-Universität Krems auch Master-Programme in den Bereichen Qualitätsjournalismus, Fernsehjournalismus und sowie Kommunikation und Management an.
