Der vom Zentrum für zeitgenössische Musik angebotene Universitätslehrgang "Musikmanagement" hat das Ziel, Studierende für die Anforderungen eines sich schnell wandelnden europäischen und globalen Musikmarktes zu qualifizieren. Gleichzeitig sollen Musikerinnen und Musiker das notwendige Fachwissen erlangen, um sich im verschärften kreativen Wettbewerb erfolgreich zu positionieren. Die Inhalte des Lehrangebots umfassen Musiktheorie, Musikökonomie, General Management, Musik und Recht sowie Medientheorie. Optional wird ein Studienaufenthalt an der Frost School of Music der University of Miami/Florida angeboten. In Vorbereitung befindet sich ein umfangreiches Kooperationsprogramm mit dem renommierten Shanghai Conservatory of Music.

Die Leitung des Studiengangs hat Prof. Dr. Gerhard Gensch (Krems).
