Introducing the unique Flexcell FX-6000™ Tension System

Apply cyclic or static tensile strain to cells in 2D and 3D cultures

(PresseBox) (Asbach, )
Flexcell International Corp. and the European Distributor Dunn Labortechnik present the unique Flexcell® FX-6000™ Tension System.

The FX-6000™ Tension System is a computer-regulated bioreactor that applies cyclic or static tensile strain to cells in monolayer or 2D/3D cultures allowing users to simulate in vivo tissue strains and frequencies.

The FX-6000™ Tension System – improved to work with a single digital valve - functions with both regulated vacuum pressure and positive air pressure to deform flexible-bottomed culture plates more effectively. The added application of positive pressure in the new system facilitates the return of the membrane to its neutral position more effectively than only atmospheric pressure. Therefore, the FX-6000™ Tension System generates even smoother waveforms with no overshoot or oscillation in waveform. The addition of dry compressed air helps to reduce possible build-up of moisture in the system, thus keeping maintenance to a minimum.

The FX-6000™ will be delivered with a Tension FlexLink®, a Laptop computer with preinstalled FlexSoft® Software, which is fully compatible with the FX-5000 FlexSoft® Software, and a Tension Accessory Package which includes a baseplate with four gaskets, BioFlex® Loading Stations™ with 25 mm diameter Loading Posts, four BioFlex® Cell Seeders, four BioFlex® culture plates, drying filter, water trap, vacuum tubing and lubricant.

The FX-6000™ Tension System as well as all other products from Flexcell® International can be purchased through the exclusive European distributor, Dunn Labortechnik:
  • FLEX JR. Tension System
  • FX-6000 Tissue Train® Culture System (FX-6000TT)
  • FX-5000 Compression System (FX-5000C)
  • Streamer® Shear Stress Device (STR-4000)
