EBV Elektronik, an Avnet company (NYSE: AVT) and a leading specialist in EMEA semiconductor distribution signed an agreement with Samsung Semiconductor Europe GmbH, an European subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, for distribution of Samsung's LED component products in EMEA region. The agreement is effective as of October 2014.
With all its technical and commercial benefits, LEDs enable lighting applications to be realized. Compared to conventional lighting technologies, LED technology has strong market potential with its higher energy efficiency, extended lifetime and new design opportunities.
