Ecovis now present in Asia

With a partner office in Indonesia, the consulting firm Ecovis is enlarging its global presence and is now represented in 48 countries from Europe, America and Asia.

The new partner ECOVIS Idris & Sudiharto has got two offices in Indonesia. One office is situated in the Capital Jakarta that has about 10 million inhabitants. Jakarta is located on the Island of Java where more than half of the countries’ population live. The second office is in Batam, the free trade zone 20 kilometres south of Singapore and Malaysia. The firm was founded in 2009 and has got about 70 employees. ECOVIS Idris & Sudiharto provides Auditing Services and consulting, Accounting and Tax Advice.

The Republic of Indonesia is the largest Island Nation of the world and by population (238 million) the fourth largest country worldwide. The Indonesian Economy is based on the principle of market economy. Various large companies are owned by the state. Currently Indonesia’s economy has got a growth rate of about 6%. The GDP amounted in 2010 to 4.300 USD per capita. Nearly half of the population is employed in the agricultural sector. Many multinational companies are referring to the wealth of natural mineral resources of Indonesia and established their offices in the country. Export products are gold, copper, coal, wood and agricultural products (palm oil, rice peanuts, cocoa and coffee), textiles and minerals. Indonesia is the world’s largest exporter of liquefied natural gas.
