edaForum06: Keine Zukunft ohne Chips - keine Chips ohne EDA

Mit dem exklusiven "edaForum06" findet am 16. und 17. November im Steigenberger Hotel Berlin zum fünften Mal eine Veranstaltung für das höhere Management statt, auf der technische, aber vor allem ökonomische Aspekte der Automatisierung im Chipdesign behandelt werden. EDA (Electronic Design Automation, Entwurfsautomatisierung) ist ein zentrales Thema für den wirtschaftlichen Erfolg in der Basistechnologie Mikroelektronik. Deren Zukunftssicherung wiederum besitzt weitreichende volkswirtschaftliche Bedeutung.

Daher gehören Standortfaktoren, Arbeitsmarktperspektiven und der internationale Wettbewerb in der Mikroelektronik zu den Themen, die mit Top-Referenten diskutiert werden.

Auf dem vom deutschen edacentrum veranstalteten edaForum06 werden Entscheidungsträger aus der Industrie mit hochrangigen Wissenschaftlern aus aller Welt zusammentreffen. Gleichrangig neben den ökonomischen werden auch technische EDA-Themen in Vorträgen und Podiumsdiskussionen behandelt. Im Einzelnen geht es um Aspekte der "Zukünftige Technologien ", "Ausfallsichere Systeme", "Partnerschaften und Kooperationen" und "Chip- und System Business". Abgerundet wird das edaForum06 durch Tutorien, eine "EDA-Lounge" und ein außergewöhnliches Rahmenprogramm.

Das edacentrum ist eine unabhängige Institution zur Förderung von Forschung und Entwicklung auf dem Gebiet Electronic Design Automation (EDA). Es initiiert, begutachtet und begleitet industriegeführte EDA-F&E-Projekte und bietet ein umfangreiches Spektrum an Dienstleistungen rund um EDA an. Weiter fördert es die Bündelung vorhandener EDA-Kompetenz an deutschen Forschungseinrichtungen durch die Stimulation von EDA-Clusterforschungsprojekten und von EDA-Netzwerken. Zu den angebotenen Dienstleistungen gehören u.a. Consulting für innovative EDA-Lösungen und Entwurfsprozessoptimierung, EDA-Kompetenzentwicklung, Informationsverteilung und Projektmanagement. Zusätzlich betreibt das edacentrum Öffentlichkeitsarbeit mit dem Ziel, die Entwurfsautomatisierung als zentralen Lösungsgedanken für das Komplexitätsproblem der Mikroelektronik im höheren Firmenmanagement, in der Politik und in der Öffentlichkeit stärker transparent zu machen. In dem EDA-Netzwerk des edacentrum sind nahezu alle führenden EDA-Anbieter, Anwender und Forschungseinrichtungen vereint.
