BST presented itself with a new trade fair stand concept, which was very well received by all participants and visitors. In addition to the modern design, the focus was on the newly designed exhibits, which impressively presented the company's wide range of innovative solutions. Another highlight were the specialist presentations by our colleagues, which met with a positive response and inspired the specialist audience. The high quality of the presentations was reflected in the discussions held, which were of a consistently high standard. The numerous contracts signed during the trade fair, such as a cooperation agreement with our long-standing partner Comexi, were particularly pleasing. This cooperation will help us to further expand our leading position in the industry and offer innovative solutions.
At drupa, BST presented a wide range of innovations that exceed the current capabilities of the industry. Visitors had the opportunity to experience the benefits of SMARTData, a market-ready software that enables the central control, analysis, optimization and documentation of production processes. SMARTData solves the challenges of increasing quality, simplifying work processes and creating more meaningful reports in web processing by feeding data centrally from ERP, MIS systems or prepress into the individual systems and working intelligently with the data.
The renowned regi_star 20 register control system can be integrated into the customer environment thanks to SMARTData, which enables efficient order processing and further minimizes waste. A new UV sensor has been added to the regi_star 20's globally established RSH sensor family. The new sensor, which was presented for the first time at drupa, can detect and scan UV coatings in the wavelength spectrum from 370 to 390 nanometers. Handled like a standard sensor, UV coatings can be quickly adjusted and the printing set-up process extremely accelerated.
The iPQ-View web inspection system has been further developed and equipped with modern sensor technology. It now offers customers even greater added value in terms of image quality, sustainability and durability. The iPQ-Check inspection system has been optimized for fully digital printing systems and enables more precise defect classification with the help of artificial intelligence.
In addition, BST presented the new Commander SMART COM 100, a new operating concept for web guiding systems in which the sensor and control unit can be operated from one single control point for the first time. This gives customers more flexibility. This new operating concept includes the new ekr CON 610 controller and the new CLS CAM 200 sensor.
Finally, the TubeScan print inspection system with SMARTData QLink could be experienced at drupa, which enables the complete automation of label printing and offers functions such as "Dynamic Job Change" and the inspection of variable data. This allows jobs to be set up more quickly and error positions to be detected automatically. The system enables efficient troubleshooting and contributes to higher quality and sustainability.
The successful participation in drupa 2024 confirms BST GmbH's leading position as a supplier of web guiding and quality assurance systems for web converting processes. We would like to thank all visitors, customers and partners for their interest and look forward to further cooperation.
