EMC expandiert in Russland

EMC baut Entwicklungszentrum in St. Petersburg / Verdoppelung der Stellen geplant

EMC wird in den kommenden vier Jahren 100 Millionen US-Dollar in Russland investieren. Das Geld wird unter anderem fuer den Aufbau eines modernen Software-Entwicklungszentrums in St. Petersburg verwendet. Damit moechte EMC von den hervorragend ausgebildeten russischen Software-Ingenieuren und Mathematikern profitieren und sein schnell wachsendes Software-Geschaeft staerken. Mit einem Software-Umsatz von 4,2 Mrd. US-Dollar ist EMC der sechstgroesste Hersteller von Unternehmenssoftware weltweit. Die neue Einrichtung wird Teil einer weltweit verteilten Infrastruktur neben Entwicklungszentren in Belgien, China, Indien, Irland, Israel und den USA. Darueber hinaus plant EMC bis zum Ende dieses Jahres die Mitarbeiterzahl in Russland von derzeit 100 auf ueber 250 auszubauen. Hiervon sollen vor allem die Bereiche Entwicklung und Service profitieren.
