Die Liste der Nominierten spiegelt die Bandbreite des erfolgreichen Mittelstands in Bayern wider - sie nehmen beispielsweise durch regionale Leistungen, auf Grund ihres Geschäftsmodells oder sonstiger Alleinstellungsmerkmale eine Leuchtturmfunktion im Freistaat ein. Hierzu zählen kleine Unternehmen mit drei Mitarbeitern aus dem Dienstleistungssektor ebenso wie große Konzerne mit über tausend Mitarbeitern aus dem Maschinenbau. Alle Betriebe repräsentieren gemeinsam mehr als 7.000 Arbeitsplätze in Bayern und haben im vergangenen Jahr gesamt rund 1,6 Mrd. Euro Umsatz erzielt.
Aus diesen namhaften Unternehmen wählte die Jury, bestehend aus namhaften Persönlichkeiten, drei Preisträger aus. Diese werden heute Abend der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt. Die Schirmherrschaft haben Landtagspräsidentin Barbara Stamm und Staatssekretär Franz Josef Pschierer übernommen. Moderator ist Roman Roell.
Auch die EMIRAT AG mit ihren Repräsentanten Ralph Clemens Martin (Vorstand) und Andrea Bargholz (Prokuristin) befinden sich im Reigen der potenziellen Preisträger. Das Unternehmen hat sich im Segment Risiko-Management und Gewinnspielabsicherung deutschlandweit sowie international einen Namen gemacht. Es gilt als Innovationstreiber in Bayern und zeichnet sich durch kontinuierliches Wachstum auf Umsatz- und Mitarbeiterebene aus.
