Auch diesmal winken tolle Preise: Für den ersten Sieger 4000,- Euro, für den Zweitplatzierten 2000,- Euro und den Drittplatzierten 1000,- Euro. Es ist geplant, das Siegerprojekt für die allgemeine Nutzung umzusetzen. Der Einsendeschluss ist der 30. November 2009.
Rückblick ins Jahr 2008
Im Juni 2008 prämierte das EPP-Forum in der BASF designfabrik die Gewinner des EPP-Design Awards 2007/08. Den ersten Preis gewannen die EPP-Eierbecher von Britta Stockinger: In ihrem Sieger-Objekt brachte die junge Produktdesignerin die Vorteile von EPP optimal zur Geltung: isolierend, transportsicher und einfach sehenswert.
Der zweite Preis ging an die Zusammenarbeit von Maria Predel und Dirk Pessler. Sie entwickelten eine robuste und dennoch sehr leichte Handy-Schutzhülle aus EPP. Walter Kurtz schuf die EPP-Pyramide, die mit dem dritten Platz geehrt wurde. Und wie die echten Pyramiden birgt auch sie ein geheimnisvolles „Innenleben".
In die Herzen der Jury katapultierte sich der Bayba - ein knallrotes Phantasietier aus EPP. So entschieden die Juroren, einen Sonderpreis für diese lustigste Umsetzung von EPP zu vergeben.
