Esmertec™ (SWX: ESMN), ein spezialisierter Software- und Dienstleistungsanbieter für Hersteller von Kommunikationsgeräten und Mobilfunkanbieter, gibt für das erste Halbjahr 2007 einen Umsatz von USD 17 Mio. bekannt. Dies entspricht einem Anstieg von 83.7 % gegenüber dem ersten Halbjahr 2006. Ausserdem verzeichnet das Unternehmen eine deutliche Verbesserung des operativen Cash-flows.
Jean-Claude Martinez, CEO von Esmertec, kommentierte: „Die erheblichen Fortschritte im operativen Geschäft haben sich in einem soliden Umsatzwachstum niedergeschlagen. Mit unserem internationalen Netzwerk und massgeschneiderten Lösungsangebot sind wir gut aufgestellt, um Kundenbedürfnisse sehr schnell zu antizipieren. Dadurch können wir den Umsatz weiter steigern und Marktanteile hinzugewinnen. Unser Auftragsbestand ist nach wie vor hoch, und Verträge mit unseren wichtigsten Kunden konnten verlängert werden.“
Im Segment Mobile and Multimedia Devices betrug das Liefervolumen im zweiten Quartal 2007 26,4 Mio. Einheiten gegenüber 10,4 Mio. Einheiten im zweiten Quartal 2006. Der Marktanteil erhöhte sich von 3,9 % im ersten Halbjahr 2006 auf rund 8,7 % im ersten Halbjahr 2007. Das Gesamtliefervolumen im ersten Halbjahr 2007 belief sich auf 46,3 Mio. Einheiten gegenüber 18,1 Mio. Einheiten im Vergleichszeitraum 2006.
Am 30. Juni 2007 hatten 20 Mobilnetzbetreiber die USSD Browsing-Lösung von Esmertec implementiert, mit der ein Kundenstamm von über 100 Mio. Abonnenten (40 Mio. am 30. Juni 2006) bedient wird.
Das Halbjahresergebnis für das erste Halbjahr 2007 wird am 25. September 2007 um 7.00 Uhr MEZ in einer Pressemitteilung bekannt gegeben und am selben Tag um 9.30 Uhr MEZ an einer Medien- und Analystenkonferenz im ConventionPoint der SWX Swiss Exchange in Zürich/Schweiz vorgestellt.
