eurammon’s tradeshow presence will include a series of lectures presented in English headed “Refrigeration Applications with Natural Refrigerants”. These lectures are intended to be of interest to planners, operators and contractors of refrigeration equipment and will update them on the latest refrigeration applications using natural refrigerants. The lectures will all take place on the second day of the show, 16 October, between 9.30 and 11.30am at Congress Center CCN East (Room Kiev, Level 2). Refrigeration experts will give twenty-minute presentations about the use of carbon dioxide in air-conditioning for buildings and refrigeration in supermarkets, the advantages of using ammonia in the meat processing industry, and the current status and prospects for future applications of ammonia in refrigerant plants in the Ukraine. Those attending will hear examples of recent installations using natural refrigerants and will gain a greater insight into natural refrigeration system designs, latest developments on the technology front, and trends and perspectives in refrigeration.
“For instance, from 1 January, 2010 no new HCFCs may be used throughout Europe,” explains Monika Witt, Chairwoman of eurammon, the European initiative for natural refrigerants. “This is forcing the refrigeration industry to rethink. Natural refrigerants like ammonia, carbon dioxide and hydrocarbons are an obvious solution. They are carbon-neutral, energy-efficient and available inexpensively in large amounts.”
After the lectures, eurammon will host a “Brunch for Friends of Natural Refrigerants” at the eurammon booth (Hall 1, No. 314), giving interested parties an opportunity to follow up on the information presented and network with people in the international refrigeration/air-conditioning community.
