Mit DJ Dice und DJ Mathematics an den Turntables stellten die US-Rapper ihr neues Album „Blackout 2“ vor und begeisterten das Publikum mit Klassikern wie „Da Rockwilder“, „How High Pt. 2“ oder „Y.O.U.“. Method Man & Redman lieferten eine Show mit vollem Körpereinsatz: Beide Rapper stürzten sich zum Stage Diving in die Menge, mit einer Wasserdusche von der Bühne wurde das sommerlich erhitzte Publikum vorübergehend abgekühlt. YAVIDO war an dem Abend mit der Kamera dabei und befragte Method Man und Redman zu ihrem neuen Album.
Rund zehn Jahre nach ihrem legendären gemeinsamen Album „Blackout“ haben sich Wu-Tang-Star Method Man und Def Squad-Mitglied Redman erneut zusammen getan und mit „Blackout 2“ nachgelegt. Beide gehören zur 1. Liga der amerikanischen Rapper und können auf beindruckende Karrieren zurückblicken: Nach einer Ghettojugend in Staten Islang/NY stieß Clifford James Smith alias Method Man zu dem 1992 gegründeten legendenreichen Wu-Tang Clan und wurde eines der prominentesten Mitglieder, der auch mit seinen Solo-Alben HipHop-Geschichte schrieb. Reginald Noble alias Redman wurde von Erick Sermon von EPMD entdeckt, mit denen er sehr erfolgreich war, bis er Teil der HipHop Crew Def Squad wurde. 1992 erschien sein Debüt-Album „Whut? Thee Album“, dem alle zwei Jahre weitere Alben folgen.
