An especially high failure safety is ensured by the ES-8700DSS cluster: both block-based iSCSI and NAS (NFS) volumes are replicated synchronously beyond fire protection areas, thus providing that all data continue to be available in case of a failure of one side - with the identical virtual IP address and without any manual intervention.
On November 2 and 3, EUROstor and Open-E will present this solution at the SNW Storage Fair in Frankfurt and will gladly answer all your respective technical queries.
ES-8700DSS clusters are also a support for snapshots, which may be mapped as individual volumes, e.g. for a consistent back-up, while access to the original data continues. Depending upon the performance requirements, SAS, SSD and Enterprise SATA disks are used as hard disks, even in a mixed combination within the same system. Using JBOD expansions one RAID 6 controller will cater for up to 122 disks.
"With the ES-8700 systems which are based upon Open-E DSS V6 we created one of our most successful product lines. These highly flexible and reasonably priced storage solutions are ideal for our customers", says Franz Bochtler, President of EUROstor. "Moreover, our technical cooperation with Open-E is excellent and therefore we are sure to see many interesting future novelties in this area."
"We are glad that we were able to win EUROstor as a gold partner who uses our storage software with great success, especially in many cluster projects throughout Europe", says Krzysztof Franek, President and CEO of Open-E. "Our long lasting cooperation created a solid foundation for many more future success stories."
The ES-8700 cluster solution will be presented by EUROstor at this year's SNW, stand 144.
