Über den handlichen, extrem schnellen Duplex-A4-Scanner können Papiere wie Kontoauszüge, Quittungen, Verträge oder Fotos direkt als Notiz in Evernote gespeichert werden. Canon hat seine Scanner-Software CaptureOnTouch auf Evernote optimiert und bietet nun zwei Optionen: Scans lassen sich entweder unter „Handschriftliche Notiz“ als JPG in Evernote abspeichern, womit sie ideal für die Textsuche in Bildern geeignet sind. Oder sie werden unter „Dokument“ als PDF abgelegt. Für Evernote-Premium-Nutzer ist auch dieses Format durchsuchbar.
Die Scans werden von der Evernote Desktop-Version (Mac oder Windows) an den Evernote-Server gesendet, dort weiterverarbeitet und automatisch mit allen mobilen Evernote-Versionen synchronisiert. So sind die Scans von dem jeweils genutzten mobilen Endgerät, wie iPhone, Blackberry oder Android-Smartphone zugänglich. Ideal für Zuhause, kleine Büros oder Geschäftsleute unterwegs.
