Packham started the season with a third-place finish, then won the next three rounds in succession. Despite a breakdown in the fifth round in Preston, he recovered to secure a hard-earned second place. He finished the season with a blistering win at Kingsbury, marking a clean run of podium finishes over the six weekends. Packham was sponsored by Exide, Team Kingsbury, Formax, Nprotune and Jetshed.
Packham’s jet-ski used Exide Li-Ion, a battery that is up to 80% lighter than a standard jet-ski battery. This significant weight advantage allows faster acceleration and better responsiveness, and makes the battery popular among motorbike and jet-ski audiences alike. Exide Li-Ion is maintenance-free and offers powerful safety features and super-fast recharging. The battery’s very low self-discharge makes it ideal for seasonal use, as it retains charge better after long periods of storage.
“I was delighted to be sponsored by Exide, a name that stands for reliability and performance in the powersports community,” said Grant Packham. “The battery performed without fault under harsh conditions and retained its charge despite being left weeks between races. There’s no better battery than Exide Li-Ion. It’s far lighter than a standard jet-ski battery, which improves the acceleration and weight distribution.”
