eyevis, German manufacturer of high-end visual display solutions for professional applications, will showcase a range of new products and upgraded versions from their eyeLCD display series on a joint stand with SmartMetals Mounting Solutions at Prolight+Sound in Frankfurt from 4-7 April 2017. “This year’s focus will be on our next generation of high resolution 4K LCD screens,” says Michael Reichart, Sales Manager for AV-Systems at eyevis. He adds: “At the same time we have implemented some new features to other product lines, such as slimmer bezels for our video wall displays and a front-service option for our ePANEL LED modules. Together with SmartMetals we’re able to present integrated solutions like a totem display dedicated to POS/POI installations.”
Next Generation 4K/UHD Displays
The devices from the eyeLCD-QHD-Series with a pin-sharp resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels will be showcased in various sizes from 58 inch (EYE-LCD-5800-QHD-V2) to 98 inch (EYE-LCD-9800-QHD-V2). The optional IR touch system with 32 simultaneous touch points is presented on two of the displays on the stand. The latest generation of eyevis’ 4K/QHD series got enhanced by several modifications, such as an increased brightness of 700 nit for the 85 inch version.
Video Wall Displays with Extremely Thin Bezels
With a bezel width of less than two millimetres, the video wall LCDs from eyevis ESN-Series become hardly visible in multi-display applications. Besides the mechanical bezel width of 1.8 mm, Full-HD resolution, 700 nit brightness and local dimming are the main features of the series. In Frankfurt, these will be presented with a setup of 2 x 2 55-inch screens type EYE-LCD-5500-ESN-FX. The ESN-Series further comprises a 46-inch version with comparable features including daisy-chain for 4K signals with up to 60Hz.
Simple Installation & Service: The new ePANEL Series
The new front-service possibilities for our range of narrow pixel pitch LED modules from the ePANEL-S series will be presented with a 2 x 2 configuration of modules from the new ePANEL-S-1.5 type. Through a touch-free magnetically launched mechanism, the individual LED boards are electronically driven to the front and can easily be dismantled. Hence, access is provided to all interior parts for service and maintenance. The new ePANEL-S versions further provide integrated connectors for signalling and power, so there is no cabling extra space required on the rear-side of the video wall. For extra resilience, the design includes an additional backup line for the connections of signals and power. The front-serviceable ePANEL-S version is available with pixel pitches of 0.9 mm, 1.2 mm, 1.5 mm and 1.9 mm.
Cooperation with SmartMetals: Totem Display for POS/POI
A Totem Display System from SmartMetals especially designed for applications at Points-of-Sale and Points-of-Information will use an eyevis 46-inch LCD screen (EYE-LCD-4600-LE-V2) as digital display. The so called Smart-Kiosk totem screens are ideally suited for installations at airports, train stations or shopping malls. Besides a mere presentation of individual products, the cooperation on a joint stand with SmartMetals underlines the successful partnership between both companies and their complementary product lines.
