Schaumkunststoffe für Kunst und aus dem Teilchenbeschleuniger

FSK zeichnet Nachwuchs für Innovation und Ideen aus

Frankfurt/Stuttgart (FSK.) Mit Bio-Schaumstoffen, hergestellt aus Baumrinde sowie mit vernetztem Polyethylenschaum zur Ausrichtung von geschossenen Molekularteilchen aus dem Teilchenbeschleuniger und mit der von Nano-Partikeln gesteuerten Ausdehnung von Polystyrol-Schäumen gehören in diesem Jahr die Bewerber um den Innovationspreis Schaumkunststoffe 2013 des Fachverbandes Schaumkunststoffe und Polyurethane FSK e.V. eher zu den nicht alltäglichen Preisträgern. So konnte der FSK mit dem schon traditionellen Innovationspreis Polyurethane schon viele kreative Produktideen und Entwicklungen von Nachwuchstalenten, wie z.B. die Herzklappe aus Polyurethan, die Haut für einen Haushaltsroboter aus PUR oder Anwendungsideen für den Alltagsgebrauch oder die Wundheilung auszeichnen. Doch sind, so der FSK-Vorsitzende Albrecht Manderscheid, bei Schaumkunststoffen die Ideen und Innovationen aus dem Bereich der Grundlagenforschung eher selten. „So viele unterschiedliche und hochinteressante Bewerbungen um den Innovationspreis Schaumstoffe haben wir in der zweiten Auflage dieser Preisausschreibung nicht erwartet.“ beschreibt Rüdiger Simon, Mitglied des Vorstandes und der Jury zum Innovationspreis, die diesjährigen Bewerbungen von Studenten, Künstlern und Unternehmen. Neben Bewerbungen aus der Grundlagenforschung gibt es, so Jury-Mitglied Simon, interessante Produktideen für Schaumkunststoffe. Beeindruckend seien auch die zahlreichen Arbeiten mit künstlerischem Hintergrund, die man leider nicht alle habe auszeichnen können. Eine Preisträgerin sei dieses Jahr dabei, die nicht alltägliche Skulpturen aus Schaumkunststoffen herstellt. Verliehen werden die sechs Innovations- und Kreativ-Preise Schaumkunststoffe 2013 des Fachverbandes anlässlich der Fachtagung Polyurethane 2013 am 03.Dezember 2013 in München.
