Comprehensive offerings covering solutions for the fulfilment of continuously increasing demands for component cleanliness will await visitors at the 5th parts2clean, which will take place at the new Stuttgart Exhibition Centre from the 9th through the 11th of October, 2007. Exhibitor offerings will be supplemented with the integrated expert forum including nearly 30 presentations on up-to-date topics and new developments covering all aspects of parts cleaning as a value creating step in the manufacturing process.
Roughly 200 exhibitors from eleven countries will present solutions for economical, environmentally sound cleaning of parts and components at this year’s parts2clean on approximately 53,000 square feet of net exhibition floor space. The first edition of the leading parts cleaning trade fair at the new exhibition centre in Stuttgart is thus virtually booked out, and will demonstrate 16% growth in occupied floor space. Continuous expansion of the trade fair for industrial parts cleaning reflects the relentlessly increasing significance of cleaning as a step in the production sequence and in maintenance: Parts cleanliness has become a quality criterion which is being defined to an ever greater extent by means of specified, reproducible, documented residual contamination values.
Practical Knowledge for Top Quality Cleaning
The series of presentations offered on the first day of the integrated parts2clean expert forum will deal with cleanliness as well. Topics will include, for example, “Analytical Evaluation of Cleaning Success” and “Possibilities and Limitations of Microscopic Processes in Particle Analysis”. But presentations dealing with “Cleanliness in Assembly” will also be on the agenda – a topic which is becoming more and more important in daily manufacturing operations because even the best cleaning process is worthless if the achieved levels of cleanliness are once again impaired as a result of contamination during storage, transport or assembly of the components. The series of presentation held on the second day of the trade fair will focus on cleaning and quality assurance integrated into the production process. Amongst others, topics will include “Requirements Placed on the Cleaning Process by the Manufacturing Sequence”, Economical Cleaning with Solvents” and “Filtration Systems in Industrial Parts Cleaning”. Beyond this, the Fraunhofer Alliance will present the results of a market and trend analysis regarding industrial parts cleaning. Special processes, new cleaning procedures and technologies will be emphasised in the series of presentations held on the third day. The agenda includes talks on topics such as “New CO2 Tools and Processes for Interior Cleaning of Parts and Drill Holes”, “Liquid and Supercritical Carbon Dioxide for GMP Compliant Cleaning in Medical Engineering”, “Easy-to-Clean Surfaces Thanks to Plasma and Painting Technologies”, “Optimised Cleaning Processes with Plasma Surface Finishing” and “Quality Assurance with Process-Integrated Industrial Laser Cleaning”. As a supplement to the expert forum, the special show on the process sequence for industrial parts cleaning will provide visitors with the opportunity of gaining an overview of the various work steps in a relaxed fashion, and making any appropriate adjustments to their own cleaning processes.

Offerings presented by the exhibitors will cover the entire spectrum of industrial cleaning technology: Equipment for cleaning and drying parts and components made of metal, plastic, glass, ceramics and composites will be emphasised at the exhibition once again this year. parts2clean 2007 will also feature numerous exhibitors in the areas of manufacturing, treatment and disposal of process media, workpiece carrier systems and washing racks for cleaning oriented logistics, as well as quality assurance and analysis systems for testing the surface cleanliness of parts and functional surfaces and the monitoring of cleaning baths. The trade fair which is unique throughout Europe will also present attractive offerings with regard to handling and automation systems, alternative cleaning processes such as CO2 snow jet, dry ice, plasma, laser and biological cleaning, as well as consultancy, services and research.
