All industry sectors are feeling the repercussions of the worldwide economic and financial crisis. The automotive industry, as well as machinery and equipment manufacturing, are being hit hardest. And these are the industries upon which mechatroniX is primarily focused. For this reason, the trade fair for applied mechatronics will be held in 2009 within the framework of German language workshops as an accompanying technical exhibition on the 16th of June at the Augsburg Exhibition Centre (Germany).
Trade fairs reflect market conditions. Where participation at trade fairs is concerned, companies in nearly all industry sectors are currently being cautiously reserved due to the worldwide economic crisis. This situation is also impacting the promoters of mechatroniX, international trade fair for applied mechatronics. “The trade fair topic was met with great interest on the part of potential exhibitors, but due to the current economic situation participation at the event is out of the question this year for many companies. The visitor target groups have also reacted positively to the fact that mechatronics will have its own presentation and procurement platform. This is why we’ve decided to organise German language workshops regarding various topics covering all aspects of mechatronics together with “Cluster Mechatronik & Automation”, and to supplement this event with an accompanying technical exhibition”, explains Hartmut Herdin, managing director of private trade fair promoters fairXperts GmbH. The concept of mechatroniX as an international trade fair for applied mechatronics lasting for several days will be implemented by the promoters at a later point in time. However, no exact date has been scheduled as yet.
