The mechatroniX international trade fair for progressive product development through mechatronics, originally scheduled for the 27th through the 29th of May in Augsburg, Germany, has been rescheduled to the 16th through the 18th of June, 2009. The wish expressed by leading facilities networked within the “Mechatronics Offensive” association for Bavarian Swabia, who are providing technical and content-related support for mechatroniX, will thus be fulfilled.
As a cross-application technology, mechatronics plays a decisive role where the improvement of existing products and the development of new ones are concerned. Despite its great importance for the innovative spirit and the competitive edge of today’s enterprises, the field of mechatronics has not had its own platform in the past. This gap is being filled by trade fair promoters fairXperts GmbH with mechatroniX. The objective of the international trade fair for progressive product development is to generate impetus for innovation and new applications by presenting mechatronic systems and solutions. The international trade fair for progressive product development through mechatronics will receive technical and content-related support from, amongst others, the “Mechatronics Offensive”.
Clearly Delineated Trade Fair Concept
“In the past, mechatronics has been a fringe topic at numerous trade fairs, and has thus only been presented in a fragmentary manner. As opposed to this, mechatroniX will concern itself solely with mechatronic systems and components, and their use, and will thus provide a complete overview of developments in this area”, explains Hartmut Herdin, managing director of trade fair promoters fairXperts GmbH in Neuffen, Germany. The exhibition offerings provided by the trade fair for progressive product development through mechatronics are thus focused on systems, components and parts from the fields of actuator technology, sensor technology and process technology, as well as other areas which make use of mechatronic systems such as optics. Further offerings include services, research, science and training. Thanks to its clearly defined trade fair concept, mechatroniX will make it possible for suppliers who are active in the above mentioned fields to present their products and services to the desired target groups in a highly targeted fashion – without any wasted coverage.
