Flatlift TV Lift Systeme conquers the Kremlin

Worms, 22.04.2008 – The TV lift specialist Flatlift (www.plasma-tv-lift.com) has focussed on developing innovative plasma lifting, TV tilting and TV pivoting systems. These make it possible to integrate LCD and plasma televisions into the living room with ease and style, or even build them into individual items of furniture. With a new project in Moscow, the company from Worms on Rhine / Germany has now proved that it’s always possible to move up a gear – and a dimension or two. The specialists have produced and installed a special in-house TV lift system in a chamber used by the Russian government, for what is currently the world’s largest plasma display.The system is able to lift the c. 220 kilograms Panasonic TH-103PF9EK (103 inches, c. 261 cm) without a sound over a distance of 1.6 metres at a speed of 2 cm per second. Strong synchronous 24 volt motors drive the device, easy to activate thanks to a remote control. Less than four weeks was all it took to carry out the entire project and install the TV lift on site. The system is completely cased in and thus practically invisible: this means optimum presentation of the data on the display.“Size was the key in this contract,” explains Mr. Sascha Rissel, Managing Director of Flatlift GmbH. “It was clear from the very dimensions of the room that a standard display was not going to get us far, for the system has to guarantee everyone a good view, including delegates sitting in the back row. We then developed the TV lift to suit the mega display. The lifting capacity alone, around 600 kilograms, meant it was obvious that this was not a case of an application for next door’s living room. Our standard solutions also benefit from special productions such as this: the expertise we gain in these projects is constantly channelled into the development of all of our products.”
