„At Flottweg, something large and new is emerging; now we see its dimensions. It is an investment that makes the whole of Lower Bavaria proud. An investment in the future of the location", was how Dr. Helmut Graf, Vice President of the Regional Government, described the construction of the new Flottweg plant during the festivities.
In addition to Dr. Helmut Graf, Peter Dreier, Vilsbiburg's district administrator, Lord Mayor Helmut Haider as well as numerous guests of honor also visited the shell of the future Flottweg factory buildings. The official address followed several speeches and then the event was rounded off with a group photo in front of the newly erected factory halls.
The construction of the new works had become necessary due to the company's rapid sales growth. As Fritz Colesan, CEO of Flottweg SE, explained in his speech, revenues grew from 135 million euros in 2012 to an estimated 240 million euros in 2019. The company's long-term goal is to double its production capacity.
And the construction of the building is progressing rapidly. The facade work for the factory halls has been completed. In the coming weeks, interior work will begin, especially on the floor slab, heating, sanitary facilities, air conditioning and sprinkler system. The electrical work will also commence in the next few days.
The completion of the work on the shell of the office building is scheduled for Christmas. The roof and facade work will be completed in the new year, then the windows will be installed and the sun protection fitted. The interior work will begin by Easter. Completion of Works 2 is scheduled for the end of 2020.
