(PresseBox) (Taufkirchen, )
Ottawa, ON, 19. Oct. 2015 – The FRAMOS Group, a global supplier of imaging products, custom vision solutions and OEM services, today announced that its North American subsidiary, FRAMOS Technologies, has broadened its existing partnership with SONY to include their FCB, XC, XCD and CVY camera lines.

“For FRAMOS Technologies, this important extension strengthens the portfolio for our customers and further aligns with our 30 year SONY partnership” explains Sebastian Dignard, President of FRAMOS Technologies Inc. “It will enable us to solidify our leadership as holistic imaging specialists that offer vision solutions from Sensors to Systems in North America”.

The camera technology being incorporated into the portfolio is based on Sony’s market leading Image Sensors thus giving more market segments access to best of breed CMOS innovation. One example of such innovation is the FCB-MA130. This ultra-compact zoom camera module for OEM, with miniature dimensions of only 16.5 x 18 x 10.3 mm delivers still images with a resolution of up to 13 MP, and videos in Full HD quality (1080p/30). This all-in-one colour camera module with one-push autofocus boasts DSP with a wealth of functions, and a powerful 1/2.45" Exmor CMOS sensor. With plug-and-play recognition via USB 3.0 and standard UVC, the compact board allows users fast, easy integration in their systems. When combined with FRAMOS’s unique business position and engineering assistance, this model is expected to penetrate many more industrial applications.
