New CoaXPress Series from Euresys Framegrabbers

Ultimate Performance for High Speed Machine Vision Applications

(PresseBox) (Taufkirchen, )
Euresys‘ Coaxlink is a series of four frame grabbers which acquire images from the fastest, highest resolution cameras on the market using the new CoaXPress camera interface standard. Industrial applications such as: automatic optical inspection, solder paste inspection (SPI) and 3D SPI, print inspection, flat panel display or glass inspection benefit from consistent real-time imaging, longer cable lengths and greater cable reliability and flexibility.

With up to 4 CXP-6 camera connections the Coaxlink Quad G3, Coaxlink Quad, Coaxlink Duo and Coaxlink Mono benefit from some of the highest data acquisition rates in the industry, being able to receive and process up to 6.25 Gbit/s over a single Coaxlink cable, leading to an impressive data transfer rate of 25 Gbit/s with the 4 cable connections of Coaxlink Quad and Quad G3. Longer distance cable lengths of up to 35m can be used at full speed and up to 100m at half speed, reducing the need for repeaters. The Coaxlink frame grabbers support multiple-camera applications, multiple Coaxlink cards can be used simultaneously in a single PC and all connected cameras can be optionally synchronized.

Stephanie Zahner, Product Manager at Euresys’ distributor FRAMOS: “A single cable supports data transfer, camera control, trigger and power supply (up to 13W) simplifying integration and decreasing costs, the CoaXPress standard offers real time triggering capabilities required by industrial machine vision applications. The Coaxlink cards also take advantage of the robust push/pull latching system of DIN 1.0/2.3 connectors for reliable industrial applications.”

Supplied with an advanced development and debugging tool and a rich set of up to 20 digital input / output lines the CoaxPress series is compatible with a wide range of sensors and motion encoders. The high-performance DMA transfers data into a user allocated memory with 64-bit addressing capability, the on-board memory contains up to 1GByte. All CoaxLink models have Genicam and Multicam drivers.
