It is known as a high-tech location in the south of Hamburg and will become the new headquarters of Futura Retail Solution AG as of September this year: channel hamburg, a modern ensemble of buildings with a maritime flair, between the channels of the Harburg district of Hamburg. The new location, in immediate proximity to the suburban railway and the university, should render the growth-oriented software company even more attractive as an employer. Futura's CEO Vanjo Wandscher: “The central location in Hamburg-Harburg, with excellent links to the local public transport network, will further enhance our attractiveness as an employer. The close proximity to the Hamburg University of Technology enables us to show career starters which opportunities we can offer to people starting off in work.”
The planned move of the developers of POS, retail management and omni-channel technology for retailers also improves access for customers. Customers can in future be welcomed to the Futura Academy, Customer Days or individual meetings in a maritime quarter that offers a pleasant harbour atmosphere and gastronomic variety. Further benefits include potential cooperations with local technology companies. Another argument in favour of the company move is the option to further expand beyond the initial 900 m² of the new premises. Futura will be based in “Channel 4” in Harburger Schlosstraße 28 as of 5 September.
